Aurax Mini is a reversible inverter air-to-water heat pump developed for residential and light commercial retrofit projects where maintaining high flow temperatures is essential.

Using natural refrigerant R290 with an ultra-low GWP of 3, Aurax Mini combines low-carbon heating with high-temperature performance, making it suitable for replacing traditional gas boiler systems while reducing energy consumption and emissions.

The unit delivers heating, cooling, and domestic hot water from a single compact system and can produce water temperatures up to 70 °C, allowing many existing radiator systems to remain in place during heating system upgrades.

This makes Aurax Mini particularly suitable for UK properties where full emitter replacement is often impractical or cost-prohibitive.

Natural refrigerant R290

R290, also known as propane, is a natural refrigerant used in various cooling and air conditioning applications. It is highly efficient and has excellent thermodynamic properties, making it an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic refrigerants. One of its key advantages is its very low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 3, meaning it has a minimal impact on climate change compared to traditional refrigerants like R134a or R410a, which have significantly higher GWP values.
